The Local has prime spot for watching the annual 4th of July Parade in the city of Alameda. This was The Local's first parade, and we celebrated in style with coffee, food and fun! Thanks to everyone who stopped in today to re-fuel and head out to cheer on your favorite parade participants. There are some funny highlights in this video, can you spot them? In no particular order - Otto "The Local", trombone-playing "Local" son, a pizza dress, a man riding a long-horned steer, a giant potato, the coast guard helicopter (it's really fast!), classic cars, high school jazz bands, local notables and politicians, boy scouts, girls scouts, drama troupe, dance groups... all local folks enjoying a beautiful day celebrating our wonderful island.
